Good afternoon Church Family,
The impact of COVID -19 (Coronavirus) on our community is changing at a rapid pace. In efforts to slow the spread of the virus, large group gatherings have been discouraged/prohibited. As a result, and as a temporary measure, it is no longer possible for us to continue to gather together for our Sunday services.
So, until further notice we will suspend all on-site church activities (including Sunday service).
In an effort to continue to “worship together”, we have committed to providing a number of resources for everyone.
Here are some details regarding our online service: (Please note: this is new technology for everyone, please be patient as we navigate any issues that arise).
i) The service will start at 10:30am on Sunday
ii) You will not be asked to sign up for anything - you can simply click on the link and when there is a “live" service you will be able to view it (in any web browser)
iii) On the side you will see a “chat room” where you can interact with others during the sermon (and even afterwards for a short period of time - consider this our coffee/fellowship time)
iv) You can click on the “Live Prayer” button and will be directed to an opportunity to be privately prayed for (by someone from our church - even during the service)
v) This link can be shared with others.
2) Over the next few weeks, Pastor Kris and the Elders have committed to calling everyone in our congregation to connect and pray for you. We would also encourage you to ask the Lord, who He is laying on your heart, and to consider calling and praying for one another during this time.
3) Parents, we want to equip you with resources for your children. In Deuteronomy 6:4-7 parents are encouraged to impress on their children the commandments of the Lord. Here are some great free resources to help you as you endeavour to raise up your children in the way of the Lord.
4) You can continue to give your tithes and offerings in a number of ways:
i) You can mail or drop off cheques/donations at the Church Office during office hours (Monday-Thursday 10-2)
ii) If you would like to arrange for your tithe/offerings to be picked up please contact the church office.
iii) You can give online through interact e-transfer (for instructions please contact Maria at the church office)
Finally, allow the words of Jesus in John 14 to encourage you:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
