Human trafficking is a growing global problem and Canada is not exempt. In fact, it happens right here in Durham Region every day. It occurs when a person is recruited, sold or traded by force, threat or coercion for the purpose of exploitation. This, in essence, is a modern day form of slavery.
Packed with Love provides backpacks filled with personal items and clothes for girls and women who are rescued from human trafficking. Rescued victims often have nothing but the clothes on their back. These backpacks are meant to bring dignity, hope and a clear message that Somebody loves them.
Backpacks are distributed through Victim Services working alongside a full-time Durham Regional Police Human Trafficking Team, various local shelters and Defend Dignity, a non-profit ministry which address the damaging effects of human trafficking, pornography and prostitution in Canada.
Please join us in the Packed with Love program by prayerfully and financially supporting us as we fill these backpacks. Help us show the love of Christ by helping young women to a new start!
